With Art Therapy, I’ll guide you through therapeutic art-making so that you come home to yourself, build confidence, make decisions with ease, go towards your dreams, heighten your intuition and develop greater trust for your life.

I’m Erica.

I’m an Artist, Art Therapist and a Nurturer of the Creative Spirit. I specialize in working with women who have disconnected from their creativity and want to dive deep into knowing who they are. Through therapeutic art making, I’ll help you reunite with your true self and your creativity so that you can live a life more aligned to your truest desires.

My therapeutic style

My approach to Art Therapy is non-clinical, meaning it is not a mental health treatment. I don’t diagnose you or work within the '“medical model” system. I am focused more on using the creative practice as a form of well-being and tool for self-care. My approach is intuitive and client centred. I integrate my teachings from Art Therapy school, art school with my meditation and spiritual practices. A typical session is a blend of deep discussion, breathing techniques, art making prompts (with or without music) and oracle cards or poetry. Each session is unique, just like you.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

  • Absolutely no experience is necessary. Art Therapy is for anyone and everyone who is wanting to use creativity as a form of healing and self-discovery. I work with clients who haven’t picked up a paintbrush in over 20 years to people who are professional artists. All you need is an open heart and mind.

  • Anything you have on hand! I don’t think it is necessary for you to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on art supplies (unless you want to!). I want to make it accessible for everyone, so if you have some paper and some pencil crayons then we’re good to go! If you want to invest in some art materials, I am happy to recommend a list.

  • No, this is not an art class by any means. I will not be teaching you how to draw or paint in a technical sense. I will however introduce different art prompts which will help inspire your creativity! In Art Therapy, it is not about the final product and more about how you feel during the process. I will hold space for you to create freely without judgement.

  • It really depends on you. I see some clients once a week, one every two weeks or even once a month. Tune into what your needs are and we can find a frequency that feels best to you.

  • No. I don’t analyze your artwork, I believe YOU have all the answers you need. I guide you and ask you questions that will help you uncover your true self.

    • $125 USD/60 minute session.

    • $720 USD/6 sessions ($120 per session)

If we’re a good fit for each other and feel 100% aligned, I will send you an email after the call to discuss a time to meet for our first session. I prefer to schedule a consistent time and day to meet so that we can get into a good rhythm for art making.

Once the date is set, I will send you an agreement form to sign, supplies list and invoice details. From there, we can meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Each session is 60 minutes and longer sessions are available upon request. I recommend starting with at least 6 sessions together.
